Fitness Activity Tracker |
I've been a track runner for the past six years while living in the United States and later, Canada. After many years of track running and doing a lot of cardio in the gym I learned that there a lot of things and devices that could actually help you become a better athlete and reach the next level of your fitness goals. One might think that an activity tracker is only for track running but to be honest, with this device, it helps you in all areas of life. In this article I will be discussing the benefits of having a fitness tracker at your fingertips.
One of the major benefits of having an activity tracker is that it tracks your entire steps taken, distances walked, complete statistics on calories burned and stairs climbed throughout the day. I remember recommending this device to one of my closest buddy Jonathan when he was still overweight. He came to me because he wanted to lose 60 pounds off his waist line and become a healthier version of himself. I remember working with Jonathan and his fitness tracker and I have to say that the device helped me help him so much better.
When I wasn't with Johnathon I had no way of tracking his progress at all. So I told him to write down what his activity tracker showed his statistics as for a given day and so forth. This helped me understand the right steps Johnathon had to take to lose his excess weight faster. I can easily say now, Johnathon is in amazing shape. He's in such good shape that he participated in a Tuff Mudder challenge with me last summer which was awesome.
Furthermore, another major benefit I found with activity trackers are they actually help you sleep better. You can get a better night's sleep to restore your body. These devices have built in personal alarms that can wake you up every morning without waking up your spouse. I've dealt with many activity trackers that has had this function and one fitness tracker that actually has a silent by effect alarm is the Fitbit One activity tracker. Most of this article is based on this model.
Last but not lease, with certain new devices like the Fitbit One Activity Tracker, you can upload your statistics wireless to your computing device or phone. Personally, this is a big function for me because I'm a very techy guy and like to stay on top of my goals and everything. So, having the convenience of always being able to know where I'm at stats wise is always a good thing. Keeps me focused and on the ball. Last note, with many new fitness trackers, they contain charts and graphs to help you better understand your progress.
