Staff Fitness - Free Fitness For TRU Staff



Pina Russo, TRU Recreation Coordinator, praised his instructor to go "beyond", not only by providing fitness classes, but to educate students and Staff Fitness and wellbeing too.

TRU leisure offers several different Staff Fitness, including yoga, zumba, boot camp and low physical impact. Each class is held in the gym TRU.
"The classes are at your own level," said Russo. Instructors modify poses and exercises to meet individual needs.

There are six teachers and 15 classes Staff Fitness offered at lunch and dinner.
Stacey Rowat , first year undergraduate classes feel are the right level for her.
" It will not kill," Rowat said, " but it will make it work."

Clarisse Vogel, freshman of respiratory therapy began attending TRU Recreation Staff Fitness because I wanted to make a change and try something new. She finds the motivation to see people you know in the classroom.

There is a different sense of TRU Physical Recreation," Russo said. "It's more social, but still get a good workout. "
Russo said how nice it is to see the classroom interaction between Staff Fitness, teachers and students.

According to Russo, there are five elements beneficial to health - cardiovascular health, flexibility, endurance, muscle strength and body composition. Improving health and reducing stress are also fitness benefits.
Kathleen Wright, TRU recreation Staff Fitness, see the class sizes to accelerate towards the end of January.

"The low-impact class seems to have more interest," said Wright, which indicates that goes with New Year's resolutions and Staff Fitness. "Now it is standing room only."
"We are seeing an average of 24 participants in the afternoon classes," said Russo." Evening classes were affected on average 60."
